Borstal enjoyed a fantastic day at GEC Bowling Club playing in the Medway Finals.
All Borstal players won their respective events - a remarkable achievement.
Dave Ambrose started the ball rolling with an excellent singles win.
His game with John Crouch (Queenborough) was very exciting with either player having chances to win at the final stages. Dave kept his nerve and eventually won 21-19.
Dave Ambrose and Ben Holland made it two up with a comfortable win over S. Seager and D. Luck (Quennborough).
The third prize was the Gower Cup, with Borstal beating St Georges on aggregate score.
Again, excellent games with some thrilling bowling. The two teams fought out the afternoon with the lead changing sides every 5 minutes.
Finally Borstal managed to get their noses in front, kept their composure and held off a late challenge from St Georges.

The last Borstal team playing was the Ladies Pairs. Eileen Simpson and Kath Day beat Brenda Hedgecock and N. Cheeseman (Civil Service) quite comfortably.
Borstal players can be proud of themselves, the best achievement by far in the clubs history.
